As New York City's leading volunteer organization, each year New York Cares helps more than 335,000 disadvantaged New Yorkers, by: reading with children; brightening the days of homebound seniors; helping adults entering the workforce; providing warm winter coats and holiday gifts to people who would go without; and so much more. Every year the Purdue Club of NYC, in conjunction with the Big Apple Big Ten, gets involved with New York Cares Day. Thousands of people take part, making it New York City’s largest day of volunteer service. In just one day they paint hundreds of classrooms and hallways, organize libraries, paint amazing murals, and much more, at 122 public schools city-wide. Thanks to this event, more than 80,000 children find their schools magically transformed into wonderful, vibrant places to learn and grow.

We will provide details for 2008 as they become available.
